Azelaic acid best defined as a cosmeceutical ingredient, found in wheat, rye, and barley used in formulations to provide benefits like clear skin, uneven skin tone, radiant complexion, provides anti-inflammatory and anti-acne activity, helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Azelaic acid is used to treat mild to moderate acne, both comedonal acne and inflammatory acne. It belongs to a class of medication called dicarboxylic acids. It works by killing acne bacteria that infect skin pores. It also decreases the production of keratin, which is a natural substance that promotes the growth of acne bacteria. Azelaic acid is also used as a topical gel treatment for rosacea, due to its ability to reduce inflammation.
Azelaic acid can directly inhibit and kill the bacteria and eliminate pathogens on skin surface and hair follicles.

Incorporation: Add it to water phase of your emulsion at heat temperature of 118-122 °C, the heat helps it to dissolve.
USAGE RATE: 0.5%–10%.
Note: Avoid mixing too many powders into one lotion, aim for no more than 3 active skin lightening ingredients in one formulation.
