Topically, castor oil is rich in ricinoleic acid, which is a monounsaturated fatty acid. Fatty acids make great moisturizers and humectants when used in skin care products. Castor oil is a thicker oil but it blends beautifully with oils such as avocado, grape seed, organic rosehip seed or organic sunflower oil. Castor oil, when used in salves or ointments, also help to maintain moisture on the damaged skin and helps to stimulate tissue growth, reducing the risk of infection.
Cold-pressed castor oil is already an extremely common ingredient in the cosmetic and personal care industry. It is often used for standalone application and is also an integral part of many beauty formulations. Castor oil is both nurturing and soothing at the same time.
castor oil is highly sought after due to its multi-purpose usage in both haircare and skin care products. Due to its natural emollient properties, cold-pressed castor oil thoroughly moisturises the skin and scalp.
Our castor oil is additive-free, but full of healthy vitamin E and ricinoleic acid. Vitamin E moisturizes and heals broken skin, and ricinoleic acid is a natural humectant that prevents water loss. This creates a barrier between your skin or hair and dangerous environmental stressors, like heat and wind. This is a moisturizer that’s serious about its job. Try it as a remedy for: Eczema, Psoriasis, Scars, Stretch Marks, Brittle or Thinning Hair.
