BTMS- 50 Behentrimonium Methosulfate is a quaternary ammonium salt derived from the natural plant oil Colza, or what is commonly known as Rapeseed Oil. It is both a mild primary emulsifier and an effective conditioning agent, which provides elegant cationic emulsions for both skin and hair care products. These emulsions leave hair tangle-free and feeling silky smooth and provide skin with a softer, powdery feel after use in skin products such as lotions and creams. BTMS-50 is also capable of emulsifying silicone, adding to its range in hair care products.
BTMS- 50 is a gentle emulsifying and conditioning agent. It leaves skin feeling silky smooth, it conditions hair and makes the hair easier to comb. BTMS-50 is a cationic (positively charged) emulsifying wax. Because it’s cationic, it is also “conditioning”. it absorbs on skin and hair, giving an amazing finish that is unique to cationic ingredients. It contains 50% of the active ingredients, Behentrimonium Methosulfate. It also functions as a complete emulsifying wax.
BTMS 50 can be used in hair care as an emulsifier, conditioner, and frizz reducer. It provides excellent deposition on both hair and skin.Formula ideas include shampoos, conditioners, wash-off systems, creams and lotions.
