Bromelain is a natural component that is derived from pineapple stems and fruits. The main component is the enzyme bromelain.

Bromelain is widely used not only in food and medicine industry, but also in cosmetics as natural cosmetics raw material, it can accelerate skin metabolism. Bromelain has excellent effect of tendering and whitening skin. Therefore, Bromelain is often added to exfoliant cosmetics.

It has a strong anti-inflammatory effect and reduces skin tanning caused by the sun. It also acts selectively on aged skin cells, breaks them down and shows a nice peeling effect. So it leads to soft and tender skin. It can also be used to lighten skin and remove freckles. Bromelain is added to skincare formulations for its topical properties of exfoliation and removing damaged tissue, bromelain breaks down the proteins that hold your skin cells together, to loosen up dead cells off your skin.

This is a great ingredient to add to black soap for skin brightening and exfoliation.

Can be added to creams, water based masque, body wash, ligtening black soap paste, exfoliating sleeping mask, cleansing cream, and exfoliating gel etc.

NOTE: Avoid mixing too many powders into one lotion, aim for no more than 3 active skin lightening ingredients in one formulation.
