Cocamidopropyl betaine is a amphoteric surfactant derived from the fatty acid from coconut and dimethylaminopropylamine. It is used in wide range of Personal Care applications including shampoos and skin cleansers, body washes, shampoos, bubble baths, cleansing shower gel, scrubs, hand soaps, baby products, cream rinses.
Cocamidopropyl Betaine is a mild surfactant offering excellent foaming capabilities, this slippery, thin, clear pale yellow liquid is one of the most popular surfactants used in today’s products. Fully biodegradable, it has very little scent and acts as a secondary thickener in personal care cleansing products such as shampoos and body washes.
It not only possesses excellent foaming and cleaning properties, but also gives no irritation to both skin and mucous membrane. Cocamidopropyl can be used as both a primary and secondary surfactant, and its gentle nature means it can be used as the primary surfactant in baby formulations.
