Decyl glucoside is a nonionic surfactant, with excellent foaming capacity and good dermatological compatibility, that is suitable for use as a base surfactant or a co-surfactant in cosmetic surfactant cleansing preparations.
Decyl Glucoside is a Non-ionic Vegetable based natural surfactant made from derivatives of Coconut Oil and Glucose .It is used in wide range of Personal Care applications including shampoos and skin cleansers, body washes, shampoos, bubble baths, cleansing shower gel, scrubs, hand soaps,cream rinses.
Decyl-glucoside is a surfactant produced by a combination of coconut based fatty alcohols (c8-16) and glucose.
It not only possesses excellent foaming and cleaning properties, but also gives no irritation to both skin. Coco-glucoside can be used as both a primary and secondary surfactant, and its gentle nature means it can be used as the primary surfactant in baby formulations.
Decyl glucoside can be used alone, but also together with other surfactants. The use is very simple: mix with the other ingredients in the formula and you’re done, heating is not needed. If the formula contains substances that do not mix well with water (such as preservatives, perfume), it can be useful to mix them with the surfactants first and then add the water.
